The challenge
Sole traders issue invoices in Word and Excel: they retype the same details every time, add up the totals by hand, scatter files across folders and lose track of who was billed for what. The client wanted more than an invoice editor — a product with its own economics, where the free plan brings users in and the paid one covers the infrastructure.
What we did
Invoices in 30 seconds
Automatic numbering, dynamic line items that total themselves, statuses from draft to paid, filters and search by invoice number.
Recurring invoices
A scheduler raises the invoice weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly and, when asked, sends it straight to the client using the chosen e-mail template.
PDF and delivery
Server-side document generation with Ukrainian typefaces and delivery by e-mail, using templates the user edits themselves.
Multi-currency
Invoices in hryvnia, dollars and euro, with live exchange rates pulled in automatically.
Freemium and payments
Two plans with limits on the free one, card payment for the paid plan, and a subscription scheduler that renews and revokes access on its own.
Server-rendered landing
The public site is rendered separately from the application so it loads instantly and is indexed by search engines.
The result
A user signs up, issues their first invoice in half a minute, and hits the free-plan limit exactly when the product has already proven itself. Recurring invoices keep the users with monthly clients: billing stops being manual work.
