An online-store builder that gives every merchant their own database

own database

The challenge

A small retailer needs a store, not a development project. Off-the-shelf builders are either expensive or keep every client’s data in the same tables — and once the business grows, leaving the platform with your own data becomes impossible. We had to build something that launches in minutes and keeps each merchant’s data physically separate.

What we did

Isolation at the database level

Every store gets its own database, created automatically on sign-up, and migrations roll out to each tenant separately. A leak between stores is impossible by architecture, not by a correctly written query.

A store on its own subdomain

The platform resolves the tenant from the request host and switches to the matching database connection, so the merchant has their own address from day one.

A catalogue with custom attributes

Categories and products carry configurable fields, so a shoe shop describes size and colour while an electronics shop describes wattage and warranty — with no code changes.

Orders with a full lifecycle

Six statuses from new to fulfilled, a customer account and e-mail notifications.

Branding without a designer

Logo and social-preview upload with in-browser cropping and a brand colour picker, so the store looks like its own rather than a template.

Plans and billing

Tiers with limits on categories, products and images; schedulers reconcile payment statuses and warn before a subscription lapses.

The result

A merchant signs up and has a working storefront on their own address within a minute. The platform scales horizontally: a new client means a new database, with no effect on the neighbours.
